Black Friday Best Sales Deals on Televisions

Christmas shopping season, which officially starts on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), is that one time of year when everyone wants to get a new television for the game room, den, or living room. The best deals on HDTVs and LED televisions on Black Friday are geared toward those specific types of purchases but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy a nice HDTV for the your kid, either.

So where to start looking for the best deals on televisions?

Finding the right television for your home is usually an individualistic exercise, so the abridged list below might not fit your specific needs. If not, the aforementioned sites and websites that cater to those looking for price comparisons and bargains (isn’t that what Black Friday is all about?) are recommended.

MSNBC’s “Technolog,” put together a short list of electronics, a list that includes laptops, cameras, and, of course, televisions. There are other sites that are more extensive, like Gizmodo, which has lists for all types of electronic gadgets as well (and not only do they have a Black Friday Cheat Sheet, but they compile a daily list of deals for the searching gadget consumer). One other place to find a compilation of good deals is at Lifehacker.

Some of the best deals (and Samsung seems to lead the way this Christmas season) on televisions can be found at:

WalMart: 32-in. Emerson LCD TV for $188 (Normally $300)

WalMart: 65″ Toshiba 65HT2U LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV for $998 (Normally $1500)

Best Buy: 42″ Panasonic LED 1080p Smart HDTV for $600 (Normally $1140)

Best Buy: 60-in. Samsung LED Smart HDTV (1080p) for $1398 (Normally $2,800)

Best Buy: 60-in. Samsung 3D LED HDTV (1080p) for $3300 (Normally $4,200)

ElectronicsExpo: 70″ Sharp LCD HDTV for $1999 (Normally $2899)

Remember to double-check Black Friday sales prices and availability with respective retailers. Although some have a price match guarantee, such as WalMart, they generally do not honor Internet ads and sales prices that are the result of typos and misprints.
