Christmas in Avondale is an annual event in the Shoppes of Historic Avondale, and is sponsored by the Avondale Merchants Association. The event takes place on the First Friday in December, and is a fun-filled, entertaining evening for children of all ages!

Holiday Soul Featuring Richard Street of the Temptations:
Mark your calendar for December 11th, 2011 for the Holiday Soul Concert featuring 3-Time Grammy Award Winner and 2-Time American Music Award Winner “Richard Street”, former lead singer for “The Temptations” 1971-1995. The past will come alive as Richard sings timeless favorites like “My Girl,” “Papa Was A Rolling Stone,” “Cloud Nine,” and Christmas songs from the “Everything for Christmas” album.
Event held on December 11th between 6PM to 9PM at Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.
2011 Holiday on the River Concert Series Monday, Nov 28 6:00pm at the Jacksonville Landing :
2011 Holiday on the River Concert Series: Daily and evening live performances by local schools, churches and dance groups. Performances take place in front of the 56-foot Christmas tree in the Courtyard during lunch and in the evenings.

St. Olaf Christmas Festival Live Sunday, Dec 4 3:30p at AMC Regency Square JAX 24 :
More than 500 musicians perform a Christmas concert on the campus of Minnesota’s St. Olaf College.
The National Football League and the Jacksonville Jaguars:
The Jaguars currently 2-6 are on the road for two weeks but then come home for three weeks of home games. The first game is on November 27th against the Huston Texans at 1PM. The following week is a Monday Night game against the San Diego Chargers on December 5th at 8:30PM. Than the very last week they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday December 12th at 1:00PM.
You can catch the last game at home against the Colts on January 1st 2012 at 1PM as well.
