A new type of personality is joining the cast of “Dancing with the Stars” 13 with Chaz Bono. This will no doubt cause some explosive and controversial moments on ABC’s hit reality show. ‘DWTS’ 13 officially announces the twelve contestants signed to compete on the series for the fall 2011 lineup and Bono is one already confirmed by entertainment news source, TMZ.
Chaz Bono is a rather controversial figure to begin with. The daughter of actress/singer, Cher and the late Sonny Bono, Chaz underwent extensive surgery to transition from a woman to a man. Since he’s legally a man, Chaz will be paired on “DWTS” 13 with a female partner. Viewers may see some explosive moments behind-the-scenes with this celebrity since he’s a unique personality from the other cast that have been on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Having Chaz as a contestant on the show goes beyond the realm of a gay celebrity. Not only is this about a woman who has become a man, but it treads on new ground for the professional dance partners as well. Which dancers will Bono wind up with? The dancers he could be paired up with are: Kym Johnson, Karina Smirnoff, Lacey Schwimmer, and Anna Trebunskaya. Whomever will be his partner will experience a new level of competition that isn’t one to arise very often.
