Fighting Skin Aging

Skin changes in many different ways with age. It may change color, dryness, roughness and laxity. Sometimes, thin veins can also appear in the cheeks. Aromatherapy treatments and creams produced by herbs can reduce these problems to a minimum.

A good supply of oxygen is vital for skin health. Massage can help, because it increases blood flow. Direct massage to the face should always be very gentle, but vigorous scalp massage will increase blood flow to the head, including the face.

This is something that every single one of you can do for yourself every day. However, we recommend to have the facial massage done by a skilled person, to help avoid all the problems mentioned.

The outermost part of the skin is called the epidermis, and it’s composed entirely of dead cells. The health and shape of your skin depend largely on the new layer of cells that grows steadily beneath the epidermis. The growth rate slows with age, and therefore, it is important to use oils whose characteristics accelerate the growth of new cells.

Oils, orange blossoms and lavender are beneficial oils for older skin. Most types of skin become less fatty with aging, which is one of the reasons why people whose skin was greasy when young, look younger longer.

Massage with oils like geranium, jasmine, orange and rose will restore the natural oils of skin to a great extent (along with base oils almond, grape seed, avocado, jojoba, peach pits, and wheat germ). You can use these salves, creams, and medicinal plants as massage oils.

Oils produced by frankincense, sandalwood, or carrot seeds all help deal with skin aging and roughness, especially when combined with massage. If your skin color has faded, yogurt face masks will help to revive it.

Simple face masks made of avocado, ground almonds, and a little honey, are also good ways to help skin aging. Thread veins appear on the faces of larger, older women. Using oils such as chamomile, celery, parsley or rose oil can help. Although several months may pass, you’ll receive a stunning result. Use these oils for massage, and as creams or lotions that rub on the skin every day. Use them constantly to produce results; you should change the oil every day at the same time, and avoid proximity to heat, smoking and alcohol consumption.

The skin reflects the overall health of the body, and anything that contributes to delay aging- exercise, good nutrition, adequate sleep and avoiding exposure to contaminants- is good for the skin.

Therefore, it’s up to you. If you pamper your skin, you get very good results. Healthy skin makes a healthy body.
