Q: about two years ago i took a pre. test and it showed up positive but two weeks later i got my period. i didnt go to the doctor because i didnt have insurance at the time but now i do. then just recently i found out i have endometerisos. i have had two surgeries so far. why is it we got pregnant back then if it was a true answer and we cant get pregnant now? and the other question is did i miscarrie or what happened. i dont know how far long i was either.

A: Endometriosis makes getting pregnant and staying pregnant very difficult but MOST women who try , do get pregnant. I don’t say that to scare you. Q: okay, so this is a very scary situation.i had a Leep procedure done just over a year ago when i was 20, which is where they remove a portion of your cervix due to cancerous cells and my doctor told me i can’t carry a baby for another 6 years. (5 now). i also have to have a biopsy every 6 months, which means they remove a little more each time.in the last year i have lost my health insurance through my dad, and my work kind of screwed me over with the full time/benefits. i have a lot of bills and i have to pay for my doctor visits/biopsies myself which is extremely expensive. so needless to say – my money situation is very bad.the last time i had sex was roughly 2 months ago, i have had one period since then and i am due to start in a couple days. however, my breasts have been extremely sore for about two weeks and have pretty much doubled in size. i have had some cramping and excessive discharge also, as well as a noticeable increase in appetite. so, obviously i am worried i might be pregnant, unable to carry it which means i may have to have it terminated and without any health coverage. although, a friend of mine said that if i chose to keep it my doctor could “sew me up” and i could get insurance through Medicaid for being a single mother. is this true? does anyone have any helpful advice or have gone through something similar? i really dont know what to do and i’m terrified!i will be taking a test later today. oh and please don’t tell me anything like “you had your period so you cant be pregnant” because that is bs. mature answers only please, this is pretty serious.i live in michigan if that helps at all?

A: I’m sorry to hear this. Have you tried to apply for medical insurance thru esurance.com – sometimes you can get medical insurance and be covered for any major injury/surgery. I see that you had medical insurance thru you dad and can’t get it thru your job, I’m sorry. What about your mother, husband, or secondary job? It could be that you are pregnant. I don’t know, none of us really would you know. I haven’t heard of a Leep procedure before until you mentioned it, so I wouldn’t be one to say yes or no to being pregnant. The first thing I would do, is take a pregnancy test which I see is something you are planning on doing tonight. Good. If it is positive, try esurance.com, mother’s insurance, or husband’s insurance before going to the doctor to be tested for pregnancy. I say this because some insurance plans state that pregnancy is considered a per-existing condition and will not be covered. If you can not get medical insurance another way, then yes, Medicare is the only option. Just hope you don’t make too much money. Good luck.
