Q: baby’s father. He walked out of picture, but I came in at like 4 months and have been there for baby. So my girlfriend is 4 months pregnant, but evey week she threatens abortion because she’s “pissed at me”. Its always because of views, because she wants me to move in, or anything else. A: You can’t stop her from getting the abortion, if it’s still legal. I’d think it’s already illegal, but I don’t know Canadian law. You CAN’T make her keep it though. People have tried this in the U.S. and lost, so I can’t imagine pulling it off in Canada. IF she carries the baby to term THEN you can sue for custody, and if you can PROVE she said she wanted to abort it(in front of others) then you have a good case to try and get primary custody, but likely won’t.
