I’m 29 weeks pregnant how long do i have to quit smoking pot for it to be out of my system when I give birth?
Q: OK that’s not the exact question i want to ask. But i can’t word it right. I’m 29 weeks pregnant and my nausea has kicked back in. I smoked marijuana through most of my pregnancy and just recently I was cut off because I was told that DHS would take my baby away if pot was found in the baby’s system at birth. Well now I want to know how long before birth can I quit smoking and even then would they test my baby when it’s born, without my permission? I know some states do and others don’t. But i was told a friend of a friend had scan in their house for 6 months because the baby tested positive and i’ve had others tell me they were never tested. Do they have different reasons for testing one and not the other? I wish i could come up with one question where someone could give me an answer but i can’t really word it right. Mostly I just want to know how soon I can quit so it’s not in mine or my baby’s system when it’s born. And if all you’re going to do is tell me that i’m a bad mother and give me a bunch of bullshit about how they should take my baby away and blah blah blah I don’t want to hear it and i don’t really care what you have to think. I just want an answer.
A: why not quit for your babies health? not just because someone might take the baby away
Do you think if you’re not married, are arguing a lot but have a child it’s best to just split up?
Q: My boyfriend and I argue a lot. He says I’m judemental and “preachy” and like to tell him my opinions about what’s right and wrong and he’s sick of hearing it. The thing is I honestly think he has porr judgement about a lot of things and this is why I haven’t wanted to commit to wanting to marry him all of the many years we’ve been together. But I have recently come back to Christ and am trying to live a Godly life and be the best me I can possibly be because I now have a young son who has made want to be the best me possible. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped smoking marijuana and cigarettes and am trying to be my best. However my ex is saying that I’m “too much” for him now. He says he wasn’t raised with the same values and doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with smoking pot and never wants to stop. He’s also irresponsible with money. I really resent him and we argue a lot. Should we just split? He seems ready to leave me because he’s says we see things differently.I understand that we aren’t married and therefore were fornicating, etc. But I was trying to “argue” about things, maybe not in the healthiest of ways — I’m not perfect — but I was trying to get him to grow up. He thinks it would be healthier for our son and best to separate because he “is who he is” and he feels like I’m asking him to change. So, do you think even if I’m a Christian to just let him go? Or should I marry him and accept that he’ll smoke pot forever and have different morals? In my defense, I was 19 when we got together and what was cool then isn’t cool with me now. I realize I should have maybe thought these things through prior, but it was really having my son that changed me and brought me back to the Lord in many ways.
A: If your concern is for the child then what difference does it make if your married or not? Are you suggesting if your married the child should be exposed to this type of life? I firmly believe if two people have tried their hardest to make a relationship work, but have failed, then its time to part company. For every ones sake.
