Is this what morning sickness feels like?

Q: Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me a good description of how it feels to have morning sickness. I am TTC and have been feeling very nausious and dizzy for about 3 weeks. sometimes it’s constant all day and other times it comes in waves throughout the day. I did a pregnancy test last friday and it was neg. I also had a light and brownish period for 2 days, 2 weeks ago. (sorry 4 all the info) I’m going to do another test but I’m aprehensive after the neg last week. Has any of this happened to anyone else. Could you tell me what sickness i had from my description of my symptoms?

Q: I got very, very tired and weak. I couldn’t keep my eyes open, and my joints were killing me — I just thought I had had a long day. When I got home, I started to get really bad chills, so I went to bed. When I woke up in the morning, I was really weak (very, very weak) I couldn’t stand very well. My nose was plugged, and my throat was somewhat scratchy. AFter about 4 days of being really weak, tired, and feverish, my lungs decided to spit out all my phlegm. I spent about a week VIOLENTLY coughing it up, and my throat hurt so bad I was moaning in pain every time I coughed. This lasted about a week. Then it lessened, and I gradually gained my strength back. Then it went away.To make myself better, I drank LOTS of hot, herbal tea (9 cups a day) to soothe my throat, and I had cayenne pepper to make the phlegm loosen in my throat easier. Both sped up the process.But my real question is: WHAT did I have??!1 This is not a common cold.

A: In the beginning of reading this I was definitely for sure you had Malaria. Very classic symptoms. But, I am not an expert at how it plays out if you can cure yourself at home. If I were you I’d get a blood test because you can have Malaria for a long while and then keep spreading it when you get bit by a mosquito. And if it was Malaria you were very lucky not to get the cerebral strand. Also, if something like this happens again you should most definitely go right away to the hospital because honestly it sounds exactly like it. But I’m not for sure. See what others say, there are a lot of medical personnel who usually answer questions.Best Wishes :]
