Does your cervix or CM have any changes to it when you first become pregnant?
Q: Does your cervix have any changes to it, when you first become pregnant? Like does it stay soft instead of getting firm like the tip of your nose? Do you still have any CM? Can it be white and stretchy when you first get pregnant? Does anyone who has experience with checking their cervix for Oulatation purposes, know the answers to this. I am talking about any changes that you can tell before you can even take a test. My A/F is not due until the 12th so I think it would be too soon to take a test. Anyone with any suggestion or anyone who knows anything about this please tell me what you know. This is a serious question. I am asking b/c I have had clear stretch CM for about 3 days and then changed to white stretchy CM and had been like that for almost a wk 1/2 now. My cervix still seems to be soft and high. My hubby and I have been TTC for sometime now. I don’t really have any other signs of pregnancy, do you think it is too soon for signs to start? and when should I test, the 12th?
A: Your vagianl walls actually change color, to a light blue/redish, due to increased blood flow. But this ins’t instant. It will change at about 6-10 weeks. Called Chadwick’s sign. Yes, your uterus/cervix does become softer. This occurs at around 6 weeks and is called the Hegar Sign.
Is it normal to develop asthma when you become pregnant?
Q: When I first got pregnant I began having wheezing and tightening of the chest. I use to have this whenever I would have an allergic reaction to something but never did it paralyze my breathing. Now I have had these symptoms more often and have to go to the er. They told me to talk to an allergy specialist (since I have horrible allergies)and I did but then they told me to go to my primary doctor. But I have been to the ER three times for this since I have been prego? What should I doI am 5 months along
A: During pregnancy, asthma not only affects you, but it can also cut back on the oxygen your fetus gets from you. But this does not mean that having asthma will make your pregnancy more difficult or dangerous to you or your fetus. Pregnant women with asthma that is properly controlled generally have a normal pregnancy with little or no increased risk to themselves or their fetus.
When should I stop taking my birth control pills to become pregnant? I just started a new pill…?
Q: My husband and I want to try to get pregnant this fall.. August-October. (I want a spring baby!) It will be our first child together. I have horribly irregular periods, and I’ve been on birth control for 10 years. My gyno just switched me and put me on a new pill (loestrin 24 fe if that matters) and I want to know when I should stop taking them? I don’t want to get pregnant right now, I want to wait a few months. But I also don’t want the birth control in my system I heard loestrin 24 can cause serious birth defects. BUT I don’t want to not be able to get pregnant due to my irregular periods. I’m not seeing my Gyno again in July. So what do you suggest?CORRECTION: I AM seeing my Gyno this July for my annual exam, so I will talk to her then.
A: I think that maybe you should stop taking your bc pills now…and ufse another form of contraceptive…i.e. condoms, or a spermicide…for the next month and then start trying to concieve….you definately want to make sure that the bc is all out of your system before you concieve! If you are very concerned about irregular periods…ask your dr…and with all respect….dont’ get your hopes up too high about trying to control when you concieve…only God knows when you will become pregnant and only He can control that…..:)Just don’t want you to get too excited and you get your hopes crushed because you don’t get pregnant when you want! 🙂
