Dallas Cowboys Give Game to New England Patriots

You can say what you want about the Dallas Cowboys 20-16 loss to the New England Patriots, but this one is squarely on the shoulders of Jason Garrett.

The defense played outstanding by shutting down New England’s potent offense and often hurrying Tom Brady; Tony Romo put up good numbers (27 of 41) for 317 yards and one interception; and with the Cowboys in the Red Zone late in the game (5:52 on the clock) with a first in ten and the score tied, they decide to run, run, shovel pass. What?

That the biggest chicken-shit calling that I have seen in a long time. Everybody is so afraid that Romo is going to make a bad play that they don’t even give him a chance to make a first down. What does that do to Romo’s confidence? You don’t win games against New England playing like that. As soon as I seen the shovel pass play, I knew the Cowboys were toast. That’s not even the worst of it; the next time the Cowboys get the ball they run, run, run, and out. After the field goal, out comes Brady who goes 80 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown. Game over!

It’s too early to get aggravated over this. Just think Rangers.
