Can anyone tell me if the side effects,(especially the sexual ones) of Paroxetine dissapear after a while?
I have been on paroxetine for 4 months now, has anyone else been on them and how did they feel.How do they work?

I’m on Paroxetine and my sex life is great.You’ve made me worried now – what side effects? OK it may cause impotence,delay of ejaculation or no ejaculation at all hence some people may use it to treat premature ejaculation
They don’t disappear until you are off the stuff. I was on it for 15 months and although it did the job there were serious side effects. I put on 2 stone – I won’t comment about the sex stuff. At least it was better than Seroxat. What sexual side effects? Only aware of loos of sex drive. Should’ve worn off by now anyway.
Paroxetine *is* Seroxat – well, at least the active ingredient – Seroxat is it’s trade name.
I have been on paroxetine for the past 6 months. I found it made me hotter and prone to sweating which i wasn’t before. I also could not orgasm the whole time which again i had been able to do before. The effects don’t wear off unfortunately and it can be incredibly frustrating (especcially if you’re in a sexual relationship). I am now coming off them and i am getting better by the day.However the most important thing about taking this medication is concentrating on solving the problems that led you to be on it in the first place. I am a different person to what i was, i have had depression for as long as i can remember. Paroxetine elevated my mood enough to get me to do things i wouldn’t have done before. Because of that my life changed, it’s been like knocking over dominoes. I knocked the first one over by going to the doctors and since then everything has started to get better. I hope they help you with whatever it is you’re going through and if they don’t then try something else. Everyone deserves to be happy and there are people who will help you all you need to do is ask them.
paroxetine has many side affects it will delay the orgasm or maybe none at all! becareful on them i know someone who was on em and cos of the tablets he is now epileptic be careful and do not drink on em for gods sake!good luck x
