Is it okay to miss the LAST active birth control pill in your pack?
I lost ONE pill in my pack, in the last active row…. is it okay if I only miss the very last pill, or would this be not a good thing to do?

The last pill in you pack of pills is just like the four or five other last pills in the pack – it’s to start your period. If you should happen to lose it, it’s not a problem. What would be a problem is not starting the next pack on schedule. That would be a problem because it would mess up your normal cycle.I just did the exact same thing this week and the only thing that happened was I started my period a day earlier than usual. You will probably start your period a day early, and as long as you don’t have sex during that time (yuck! why would you anyways!), then you will be just fine. Start your next pack on schedule, and you will be good to go!
