Do TaKinG DieT PiLL AND BReaSTFeeDinG aT ThE SamE TimE BaD?
MY SISTHER WANT TO GO ON A DIET.SHE IS BREASTFEEDING HER BABY.SHE WANT TO KNOW IF SHE CAN TAKE ANY DIET PILL WHILE BREASTFEEDING.
More Answers to “Do TaKinG DieT PiLL AND BReaSTFeeDinG aT ThE SamE TimE BaD?“YES TAKING DIET PILLS IS BAD FOR THE BABY. A LOT OF COMMON MEDICATIONS CAN SHOW UP IN BREASTMILK AND IMPACT THE KID. THIS IS ESPECIALLY PROBLEMATIC WITH THINGS LIKE DIET PILLS, AS THEY ARE NOT GENERALLY REGULATED BY THE FDA AND THUS ARE NOT FULLY TESTED FOR SAFETY. DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPS IT IS LIKE HOLLERING AT US?
Why would she want to harm her baby like that?!?!?!?!?! Not to mention, harm herself too??
No. Whatever your sister takes is passed on to the baby in the breast milk.
I don’t know what you’re trying to prove with your upper/lower case writing but it’s really annoying. I don’t know about your “sisther”.
I would advise her not to take any diet pills. Anything she ingests will be passed into her breast milk. Her best course of action to lose weight should be to eat a diet high in fiber. She will be less hungry and will not harm her baby in any way.
No,,dont take them while breast feeding.
She should not take anything while breastfeeding without talking to her doctor first. Anything that goes in her mouth will then go into her baby’s mouth through the breast milk. She should contact her doctor on the best way to stay healthy while breastfeeding.
NOOOOOOOOOO! Don’t do it! Everything your sister eats will have some kind of effect on her baby. Those diet pills usually have a lot of caffein in them. I’m sure she doesn’t want a hyper baby to deal with. I thought breast feeding is suppose to help you loose weight anyway..”Energy RDA during lactation: +500 kcal/day (1800 kcal/day minimum).” “Engery needs for women who are breastfeeding exclusively range from 2500 to 3300 calories a day, depending on physical activity.” Here are some websites for more information:www.lalecheleague.. www.healthfinder.gov/searchopt. then search for breastfeeding.
anything un natural that you take can get into your blood stream and into breast milk.. altering the nutrition, quality and quantity. You dont need diet pills, being active and breast feeding alone, will help you shed those pounds. Once the baby no longer breastfeeds, follow up with a healthy diet, and excercise routine.Your goal should be to stay healthy right now, as you nurture your child, the more healthy you are, the more healthy the child will be.
anything you take or eat or are exposed to while breast feeding ends up in the baby. diet pills dont work. tell your sister not to be selfish and endanger her baby and instead to work out and eat healthy.also eating healthy is eating healthy for the baby too.
no way should she be doing thatby the way what is the deal with the alternating upper and lower case letters- who old are you ..SIX?
I say no but she should check with her doctor to make sure, everything you put in your body is going into the baby when it eats so she may need to wait on the pills.
Just think of it this way anything that the mommy eats so does the baby..The best thing I think would be just to exercise, with breastfeeding she will lose 500 cal a day anyways. But.. I do know however there is a certain type of birth control pill that the mommy can take while breast feeding so perhaps there maybe a diet pill however I would certainly have her speak with her doctor!!
