Pharmacy – research or not?

Q:Hello, everyone! Does anyone know for sure, which professional degree has more job opportunities: to get a Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences or to get a degree of Master of Sciences in Pharmaceutical Sciences? I heard that Research or Ph.D. degrees are needed and also that getting a Ph.D. rather than M.D. (or M.S.) is cheaper. Am I wrong?

Good evening EugeneI happen to be a pharmacist and I will explain it all to toYou appear to be student just entering college I suppose.ALL pharmacy schools in the country grant you a Pharm-D program. It is not called Ph D, It is called Pharm-DIt is a six year course and you’ll graduate with the title “Doctor”As far as job opportunity, now there is such a severe shortage of pharmacists and a very high demand for them.If you’re consider pharmacy, this is the way to go.As far as getting a Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, I think is OK if you want, but you still have to go thru the Pharm-D program,If you still have any further question, do not hesitate to contact me,Good LuckMacho
