Give pure lemon juice or white vinegar a try, use them as a soak. Let your toes get some “fresh air and sunshine” for a few hours each day as well.
You are very wise to not want to use Lamisil! An alternative and natural way to get rid of the toenail fungus it to use Tea Tree Oil which you can buy very inexpensively at Wal-mart, Rite Aid, or any vitamin shop. Apply 3 times a day by dipping a clean Q-tip in the oil and swab the affected area. You must continue this treatment for at least 3 months. Most people quit the treatment to soon, as they do with athletes foot, and the problem comes back. It will work, it just takes time but you will be saving the health of your liver!Tea tree oil is an antibacterial/anti fungal agent. It is good for disinfecting wounds and healing virtually all skin conditions, including acne, athlete’s foot, cuts and scrapes, fungal infection, insect and spider bites, scabies, and warts. When you use it be very sparing with it. It is an oil and will spread quite well. After applying it let it air dry for a few minutes before putting on socks and footwear.Hope this helps you. Good Luck!
Tea Tree Oil Dosage: For fungal infections, rub into affected nails twice a day. Comments: Use pure tea tree oil. Should never be ingested. In addition to the tea tree oil ,various supplements can be used as general nail strengtheners. About eight weeks of therapy may be required to notice results. Biotin and other B vitamins, taken together with an amino acid complex and vitamins C and E, have a synergistic effect that helps the body build keratin and other proteins that it needs to make nails strong. A mixed amino acid complex also contains sulfur, which is necessary for nail growth.
