Q: i asked the same question before but i forgot to tell you somthing aswell so soz bout that. i need to do a survey for some corsework that we are doing.the question is “should we ban crisps and chips for young children”before i give you the options im goin to give you some infocrisps and chips contain high amounts of acrylamide and it causes cancer in some animals it has not yrt been proven that it causes cancer in humans but results are pointing that way. acrylimide is in any food that is cooked that has high amounts of starch in it (not including boiling) however chrisps and chips contain the most! small amount dont do much harm but large amounts can be dangerous the fat and salt levels in crisps and chips are a health risk to it can lead to health problems like obisitynow for your opinion1) we should ban chrisps and chips for young children 2)we should cut down the amount they eat3) weshould just leave it how it is and not ban anythinggive any other opinions and pls pls answer i need lots of answers
A: No for the simple reason its impossibe.Considering that anyone that supplies under 18s with alcohol is liable to a £50 000 fine, yet the papers are chocca with stories of under 18s getting drunk; the ability to ban crisps to children would be an impossible.Yes crisps are bad but so is television, books, apples, exercise, vacuum cleaners, computers, grass, paracetemol, even air. Anything is bad for you is you have too much.In reality kids today (i’m starting to sound like my dad) dont know how to entertain themselves. If I was bored as I kid(and this was only 15 years ago) i went out into a field and climbed a tree or played tag or went on a bike ride.Today kids are being sat infront of a tv/xbox, either because its an easier task for them or because their parents are too scared that paedophiles will abduct their kids. Exercise for kids is PE on a friday afternoon at school, and its a chore not a pleasure.I also think that food manufacturers need to do more to make healthier instant food. Since the 1960s we’ve had less cooking to do, as we rely more more on easliy prepared food. Walkers and Bernard Mathews have already taken steps to “healthier unhealthy” food, and its steps many others could do more.
