Q: I heard that having ankle weights are bad for you even when you’re walking; however, I want to know if having extremely light ankle weights will actually harm you too. I’m planning on wearing them in school because I do get to walk around between classes and lunch. As mentioned above, these weights weight 3/4 pound each, used only for walking, and I have experience in playing sports and being active from a young age to this point (I also have done a lot of stretching). Is it okay if I were wear these light ankle weights? Will it cause harm? Will I regret it? Thanks!
A: I don’t think that they will cause harm or that you will regret it. You can wear shoes that weigh that much and they don’t cause any problems.
