I would take a test today to see and if it is positive then it from pregnancy, you shouldn’t worry though if it is just spotting. If it is accompanied by pain and it gets a lot heavier go to the E.R. Q: I am not trying to conceive but I did have unprotected sex with the husband of course. I believe we had sex on the 15th and a couple more days after of unprotected sex. On the 21st I got a dark red spotting that only lasted like an hour or two and it was wasn’t too light but light. It didn’t fill up the whole tampon, maybe 1/4 of it. I’ve been reading stuff and i’m just curious if any of you might have an idea of what it is. I’m expecting my period on the 31st-2nd around there. Thanks for your input!

A: Sounds like you might be pregnant…the timing is right for that to have been implantation bleeding. Take a test closer to when your period is due to be sure.

What does very light red spotting mean?

Q: Yesterday when I went to the bathroom and wiped I noticed a little bit of red blood on the tissue. It was literally like a dime size spot and it only happened that one time when I went to the bathroom. There was also none on my panties.
