Help? It about my oldest daughter?

Q: HelloTo make long story short. I got pregnant at 16 years old because I was date raped. I didn’t believe in abortion and I decided to keep because it not the baby’s fault that when I got pregnant. I finish my high school and my daughter was born. It was very difficult for me to raise her because I am having trouble bonding with her. I love her and I gave her the best. She does very well in school and she is honor student and she is only 6 years old. The bigger problem comes that I am married to my wonderful man and I have another baby girl by him. I am seem more bonding to my baby daughter and I am pregnant again 3 months.. I am worry because I don’t feel good around my oldest daughter and I feel like I don’t want anything to do with her. I don’t know why I feel this way? I let her go to her friend’s house so she can give me a break. I don’t have anybody to watch her for a while because all my family live in another state. Since I am 3 months pregnant that I am more emotionally distance from my oldest daughter because I keep getting painful memories when I look at her everytime… I really need help and I’m afraid that I won’t be close to her anymore because memories are haunting me really bad… I don’t know what to do and I want the best for her. I just can’t pretent that nothing happen and it eating me alive in a way. She think my husband is her real father. She will find out one day and she gonna hate me! She half asian and my husband is black so she gonna figure out one day that her half sister is black, not asian like her… I am only 23 years old and I am deaf… Any advice will help! A: I was having a time trying to follow your speech until you said you are hearing impaired, now I understand. That being said did you ever get counseling to heal from the rape? Yes, children are a gift from God and it took a lot more strength to carry her and raise her than just abort her, but it doesn’t change the circumstances in which she was conceived. It is not her fault you were raped, it is not YOUR fault either. You were taken advantage of. However, if you never sought professional help to heal from the rape than it’s going to keep coming up your whole life and all those feelings you are dealing with will be directed at your daughter. Don’t let that happen. Seek help, counseling to start to make sense of your feelings and emotions. You have strength and courage that most of us here today can’t claim….you should be very proud of yourself! Now go get some help so you can have a happy healthy family life!
