How can I get bigger pecs with just push ups? Will choose best answer.?
Q: I have no access to a gym and the most I can do is 40 push ups. My pecs stayed the same size for a few months. I don’t feel sore after anymore, but its a struggle in the middle of doing it. I have no weights or anything, how can I build big pecs on only push ups.Is 100 total in 10 sets enough for every two days? Can you give me how much reps and how much in each.
A: One method you can use is to change your hand position on the floor. Bring them close together for a complete set, then spread them way apart for a complete set and for your third set, place them in the usual position about shoulder width apart.Make certain each push up you do is proper in a way where your back is straight and aligned parallel to the floor when in the down position. You should not have any sag in your mid section during a push up. (see link below for form and variation)Once you have reached a point where you are doing 60-70 at a time, you can begin to add weight to your back and shoulders to help build muscle. Do not over do it. Just 5-10 lbs would suffice until you get built up more.Ex: During Army Basic Training we would do on average about 1500 push ups each day. Although it became easy to do them, our muscles were very fatigued and did not truly develop until we left there and had the opportunity to rest them. So, I would suggest every other day and at intervals throughout the day you can stop what you are doing for 2 minutes and do as many pushups as you can. (you will most likely fatigue before the 1.5 minute mark but do not rest, keep pushing them out until 2 minutes is up) If you do this 10 times per day every other day, you will see an increase in reps, muscle and endurance. Worry about the weights after you have perfected the form. Add the weights when you are home in morning and/or evening.
Can I make my pecs bigger and toned by doing only push-ups and dips?
Q: All I want to do is make my pecs slightly bigger, but more importantly, more toned. Can I achieve this by doing different variations of push-ups and dips and leave out the weights? I have already been using this approach for close to 6 weeks and it feels and looks likes it working, but sometimes I feel like I am nuts because I am not working my muscles out as much as I could.
A: With proper diet and cardiovascular exercises, you will get there sooner or later. You need to do cardios every day for at least 20 to 30 minutes and you need to eat properly. Only doing those work outs would be fine but if you are really in a hurry, just go to the gym and lift weight, and you will see the difference. Or if you only want to do those exercises as your work out routine, just increase more sets and reps in the work outs and you will see the difference, too.Btw, you are actually doing fine so you just need to stick doing what you were doing and yeah you will achieve your goal.Hope this helps.
How can I get bigger Pecs/Chest? Right now I do push-ups, bench press, and dips.?
Q: Is there anything else I could be doing?
A: jermaine sucks…tie a 25 lb weight to your stomach and do full body dips, 8-12 reps. you will feel it a lot in your chest. for push ups, you can lay on the floor and put a weight on your back
